Editor-in-Chief: The Layout and Speed Board Game
Stop the presses! The front page needs to go to print!
In Editor-in-Chief, you play as the editor-in-chief of a local newspaper in a world populated by charming animals. Saturday night is approaching, and you have a stack of articles, photos, and advertisements to fit on the front page. The problem? You only have a few minutes to arrange everything before the edition closes!
The concept? A frantic real-time tile-collecting phase, followed by a meticulous layout phase to optimize your score.
Why Editor-in-Chief will get you hooked on the news:
-
The Adrenaline of the "Deadline": The game is played in real-time. You have to rummage through the middle of the table to find the best scoops while keeping an eye on the clock. The tension is palpable!
-
A Tactical Puzzle: Once you've chosen your tiles, you need to place them on your board. Pay attention to the layout rules: don't put two photos next to each other, balance serious and light articles, and most importantly, don't forget the ads to fund the newspaper.
-
The Space Dilemma: Too many articles and you'll get penalties for the excess. Not enough, and your front page will look empty. You need to find the perfect balance between quantity and quality.
-
Varied Game Modes: Find real-time too stressful? The game offers a calmer "Turn-based" mode and a "Solo" mode to hone your layout skills.
