Où c'est donc France – The Geography and Location Challenge
Do you really know France like the back of your hand?
Is Aix-en-Provence further south than Toulouse? Is Mont Saint-Michel located to the east or west of Rennes? In Oucédonc France, there's no need to be a GPS coordinates expert; all you need is a good sense of direction and a little common sense. This game challenges you to place location cards relative to each other on an imaginary map of France that builds up before your eyes.
The objective of the game? To get rid of all your cards by placing them correctly (North, South, East, or West) relative to the locations already on the table.
A simple mechanic for immediate fun
The game is based on a very intuitive relative positioning system:
-
Relative placement: On your turn, choose a card from your hand (city, monument, natural site) and place it relative to a card already present. If you think it's further North, place it above!
-
Doubt benefits everyone: If an opponent thinks you made a mistake, they can challenge you. The card is then flipped over to check the information on the back.
-
Learning by playing: If you make a mistake, you draw a new card, but you will have learned the exact location for next time.
-
Illustrated cards: Each card contains interesting information about the location, enriching the general knowledge of both young and old.
