Can you find the deceased behind the last word?

In Fiesta de los Muertos, each player secretly receives a "Character" card (this could be Michael Jackson, Marie Curie, or even Harry Potter). On your skull-shaped slate (a "Calavera"), you write a word that describes this character, then close the skull's jaw to hide the name.

The skull is passed to your neighbor, who erases your word and replaces it with another word that reminds them of yours. After several passes, the skulls return to the center... and you'll have to figure out which character corresponds to which final word!

The goal of the game? To appease as many deceased as possible by finding their original identities despite the imaginative drifts of your friends.

A brilliant "Semantic Drift" mechanic:

  • The Chinese Whispers Effect: This is the heart of the game. How did "Music" become "Moon," then "Cheese," to finally end up as "Mouse"? The reveals are always the funniest moment of the game.

  • Total Cooperation: You don't play against each other. The group earns points (levels of appeasement) based on the number of correct collective answers.

  • Constraint Cards: To spice up the games, "Constraint" cards can require you to write a word of maximum 3 letters, or a word related to nature, making the task much more complex!

  • Quality Material: The "Calaveras" slates are beautiful, erasable, and very pleasant to handle.

Why is Fiesta de los Muertos a must-have?

  • Maximum Inclusivity: You can play it with everyone. The proposed characters are very varied and known to all.

  • Laughter Guaranteed: The discrepancy between the starting character and the final word is often absurd and leads to memorable explanations.

  • Fast-Paced: A game lasts about 15-20 minutes. It's the perfect "filler" between two big games or to liven up an aperitif.

  • Evolutive: The game offers several difficulty levels to adapt to your group's mental agility.
