Concordia Venus - The Ancient Management and Trading Game

In Concordia Venus, you lead a powerful Roman dynasty. You send your colonists (by land or sea) across the Empire to establish trading posts, produce bricks, wine, or cloth, and trade with Rome. But beware: unlike many conquest games, there is no war here. Victory belongs to whoever can win the favor of the gods, especially Venus.

The goal of the game? Accumulate the most victory points by buying character cards (Senator, Prefect, Mercator...) which act both as actions and as score multipliers at the end of the game.

Why choose the "Venus" version over the base game?

• Team Mode: This is the main strength of this edition. You can play with 4 or 6 players, forming duos. Your actions benefit your partner, requiring perfect coordination without being able to speak openly.

• New Cards and Boards: The box contains new game boards (including Hellas and Ionium) and "Venus" cards that offer new ways to score points based on your provinces.

• Absolute Fluidity: A game turn boils down to: "I play a card from my hand, I apply its effect." That's all. But the choice of when to play which card is crucial.

• Zero Frustration: There are no dice rolls to mess up your plans. If you lose, it's because your opponent was smarter or managed their timing better.

Why is Concordia a "Masterpiece"?

• Brilliant Scoring Mechanism: You don't know exactly who wins until the final tally. Each card purchased during the game multiplies the points of some of your achievements.

• Subtle Interaction: Players vie for city locations, because the more a player builds in a province, the more expensive it becomes for others to settle there.

• Quality Components: Wooden resources (hay bales, amphorae, bricks) and clear cards with straightforward iconography.
