In Tokaido Duo, you control not one, but three characters simultaneously! Unlike the classic version, this game focuses on the island of Shikoku. Each player must advance their three travelers to complete their respective quests. It's a game of movement and collection where the beauty of the landscapes conceals a permanent strategic struggle for the best route.

The goal of the game? Maximize the points of your three characters. The game ends as soon as one of them completes their journey, but it is the balance between your three heroes that will lead you to victory.

Three Characters, Three Ways to Play

• The Pilgrim: They visit temples and gardens, progressing by discovering the spiritual wonders of the island.

• The Merchant: They travel from town to town to buy souvenirs and resell them to get rich. Their success depends on their business acumen.

• The Artist: They settle in the most beautiful landscapes to paint works of art and offer them as gifts, thus gaining renown.

An Ingenious Dice Mechanic

The movement system is the core of the duel:

1. The first player rolls three dice.

2. They choose one to move one of their characters.

3. The second player chooses a die from the remaining two for their own movement.

4. The first player takes the last die for a second movement. This "draft" mechanic forces difficult choices: take the die that suits you, or the one that will severely block your opponent?
