The Gang – The Cooperative Poker Game: Rob the Bank Together!
Unity is strength, silence is success.
Forget the cutthroat competition of Texas Hold'em where you try to fleece your opponents. In The Gang, you're part of the same team of bank robbers. Your goal? Open the vaults of a highly secure bank. To do this, you'll need to assess the strength of your poker hand relative to your accomplices, without ever revealing your cards.
The goal of the game? Correctly estimate your rank in the hand hierarchy (who has the best, who has the worst) to unlock the vaults one by one.
An ingenious inverted poker mechanic
The game uses classic poker combinations (Pair, Straight, Flush...) but for a common goal:
-
Silent Assessment: Based on your cards and those revealed in the center (the Flop, Turn, River), you must secretly bet on your position. Do you think you have the best hand? The second best?
-
Communication through Action: Just like in The Crew, speech is silver but silence is golden. Your bids and tokens are your only way to communicate the strength of your hand to your partners.
-
Vault Opening: If everyone has correctly estimated their position at the end of the round, the vault opens! If even one person made a mistake, the alarm might go off.
-
Evolving Difficulty: The game offers several scenarios (increasingly difficult banks) that add constraints and special rules to spice up your heists.
Why The Gang is a gaming gem?
-
Poker accessible to all: No need to be a pro at the green felt or know how to bluff. The game uses familiar combinations to create a pure deduction experience.
-
Tension and Adrenaline: The moment when hands are revealed to check estimations is always a peak of tension. You hold your breath, hoping your accomplice hasn't overestimated their two pairs!
-
Perfect Alternative: It's the spiritual cousin of The Crew or The Mind. If you liked those games, you'll love the feeling of "connection" needed to win at The Gang.
-
Heist Movie Atmosphere: The illustrations and materials immediately immerse you in a film noir atmosphere à la Ocean's Eleven.
