Face to face in the depths of the mine!

Did you like the treachery of Saboteur but there are only two of you? Saboteur The Duel is for you. In this version, each player embodies their own dwarf and seeks to gather more gold than their opponent. But beware: you don't have to dig your own separate paths. You share the same network of tunnels, which means you can take advantage of the path dug by the other... or violently sabotage it at the most opportune moment.

The goal of the game? Collect the most gold nuggets over three rounds by building the most advantageous tunnels for you and the most obstructive ones for your rival.

A duel where all dirty tricks are allowed

The mechanics adapt perfectly to the face-to-face format:

• A common board, two starting points: Each player starts at one end of the mine. The paths will cross, intertwine, and block each other as cards are played.

• Direct Sabotage: Break your opponent's pickaxe, lantern, or cart to immobilize them. They will have to find the right repair card before being able to lay a new tunnel.

• The Mine Troll: A newcomer appears! The Troll blocks the passage and demands a tribute (a nugget) to let you pass. Will you be able to use it to slow down your opponent?

• Doors and Keys: Some tunnels have colored doors. Only the dwarf with the key of the correct color can pass, offering a crucial strategic advantage to protect "their" nuggets.
