Living Forest – Deck-building, management, and nature conservation
Living Forest is a deck-building and management game in which each player embodies a spirit of nature tasked with saving the forest and its Sacred Tree from Onibi's destructive flames. In each round, you form an assistance line with Guardian Animal cards by drawing them successively, a push-your-luck mechanic that influences your action options. Depending on the symbols revealed, you can then perform actions such as planting protective trees, extinguishing fires, attracting new animals, or advancing on the Circle of Spirits.
The game offers three distinct victory conditions: planting 12 protective trees, collecting 12 sacred flowers to awaken Sanki, the Great Guardian of the Forest, or extinguishing 12 fires to permanently repel Onibi. This system offers high replayability and encourages different strategies depending on your progress and the cards available in your deck.
With its mechanics combining deck-building, push-your-luck, placement, and action management, Living Forest combines tactical planning and calculated risk in each round. The immersive theme of nature spirits and the tension created by Onibi's advance give each game a strong dynamic.
