7 Wonders Duel – The Best Strategy Game for 2 Players
An epic showdown for the glory of your empire!
In 7 Wonders Duel, you and your opponent strive to build the most flourishing civilization of antiquity. While the theme remains faithful to its big brother, the "drafting" mechanic is replaced by an ingenious pyramid of cards: some cards are face-up, others face-down, and you can only take those that are uncovered. Each choice is a dilemma: take the card that helps you, or avoid revealing the one your rival desperately needs?
The goal of the game? Win by military supremacy, scientific progress, or, if no one achieves these before the end of the III Age, by civil victory points.
Three ways to triumph:
One of the great strengths of Duel is the permanent threat of an immediate victory:
-
Military Supremacy: Advance the conflict pawn towards the opposing capital. If you reach the last space, you instantly win the game!
-
Scientific Supremacy: Collect 6 different scientific symbols out of the 7 available. If you succeed, victory is immediate thanks to your technological advancement.
-
Civilian Victory: If no player has won by force or science by the end of the three Ages, victory points are counted (buildings, wonders, treasury).
Tactical and intense management
-
The Wonders: Each player starts with 4 Wonder cards. But beware: only 7 wonders in total can be built during the game. One of the two players will be left with their last wonder unfinished!
-
Trade: Here, there are no neighbors from whom to buy resources. You pay to the bank, and the price depends on your opponent's production. The more of a resource they have, the more expensive it will be for you!
-
The Pyramid System: The card layout changes with each Age, creating constant visual and tactical tension about what is available or not.
